Have you ever lost someone that was close to you? A loved one? A friend? It's a sad reality that life has these hardships. When my grandfather passed away, it was a very difficult time for me and my family. He was dearly loved by us all.

But you know what? My grandfather was a keen photographer. He was always taking photos of the family. Even when he took photos of the same person over and over again, he treated it as if it was his first.

All these photos were kept by my mother. Hundreds of photos, negatives and slides. A huge collection of holiday movie reels. All tucked away neatly under the stairs. I thought these photos, these memories, were the only things I had left of him. That was until, after rummaging further into his collection, I found his old 35mm film camera, and a bursting need to do my grandfather proud.
